Next summer, Region 12 will once again gather in beautiful Redding, California at Simpson University for 2-1/2 days of superior music education, creativity, and performing!
We anticipate a large turnout in 2017, where everyone will sing in one of three large choruses, working together to create an entertainment package for one of three types of performances: a local gig; a cabaret show; or an entertainment package for Open Division at contest. You'll have your own director, choreographer, costume team, and coaching – then perform on Sunday!
All the classes are built around the theme of putting together The Musical. You'll learn two songs (to be introduced at AIM-January 2017).
If you've thrilled to the performance magic of top-level quartets and choruses in Sweet Adelines and BHS, you've probably seen the work of Cindy Hansen. Cynthia K. Hansen Ellis has designed and taught choreography for ensembles across the world, including Scottsdale, San Diego, Vocal Majority, and Masters of Harmony, along with quartets like A Capella Gold, Zing, and Musical Island Boys, just to name a few! Cindy uses a positive approach and lots of humor to help performers find their unique style. She has also been on the faculty for IES, Harmony University, and numerous Regional weekends, as well as hosting theater and coaching workshops. We guarantee a unique experience with Cindy as our primary faculty person!
Our own famous LoveNotes will lead classes for quartets, and you'll be treated to their beautiful music throughout the weekend.
And several of our experienced and gifted Regional Faculty will round out this amazing educational event!
A full class description list and schedule of classes will be available in 2017!
