- Take the Richards Blvd. exit and go east on Cowell (Richards becomes Cowell).
- At the 3rd signal, turn right on Lillard. The school is just past a large apartment complex.
The all-day workshop provides LAW students an extended period of time to discover and practice new arm-waving skills. During the day, each level meets with its own professor for classes, but students also have a chance to direct a live chorus made up of the rest of the LAW students. The feedback from the professor lets the student director learn from their experience. Students can be video taped as they direct so they have something to work with at home. In order to have a chorus to direct, everyone learns a ballad and an uptune. It's important that everyone is "off the paper" so students have a responsive group to direct. Sheet music and learning tapes will be available at the January Regional Weekend. The evening session, for those who care to stay, will concentrate on individual assistance.
